Summer Concert

Saturday 12th July 2025

We were delighted to perform at St John’s Church in Mortimer, a regular venue for us, at our summer concert on Saturday 12 July. We collaborated with a female choir for the first time and performed some striking arrangements of Les Miserables and also an 80s favourite by Erasure - A Little Respect.
The band played a varied programme including the majestic Jurassic Park and also the delightful music from The Sound Of Music.
We were very grateful to have a large audience on what was one of the hottest evenings of the year. Thank you all for coming and we look forward to seeing you at our next concert.

Mortimer Fun Day

Saturday 5th July 2025

Band members provided the opportunity for anyone to have a go at a musical instrument at our stall at Mortimer Fun Day on Saturday 5th July.

We had a selection of brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments with us, providing a fun, if noisy, experience for anyone to try for themselves, with our band members on hand to demonstrate and help everyone to get a few notes out of each. The youngest to try them out was a baby of only a few months old, who enjoyed the sound of the egg shaker. The most popular instruments were the saxophone, trumpet, and the range of smaller percussion instruments to hit, shake, and scrape.

Our small saxophone group, Sf Sax, were also there to play a few pieces of music for onlookers.

Bradfield Mayfayre

5th May 2025

For our first outside band event of 2025 the weather was on our side, a little chilly but at least dry, a pleasure compared to last year when we had constant rainfall. We played two 30-minute programmes of music, which included Star Trek Through the Years, Jesus Christ Superstar, Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean and How to Train your Dragon, which seemed to be enjoyed by one and all.

Spring Concert

22nd March 2025

We had a wonderful evening of music at our Spring Concert at The Link in Tadley. After working so hard on the music, it was a pleasure to perform it to such an appreciative audience.

Our programme included well known pieces from the musical Cats and film music from Star Wars, as well as a fantastic medley of Beatles music to round up our programme. We played a charming arrangement of Hine e Hine, which is a delightful lullaby, as well as some much more dramatic music including Fate of the Gods, based on Nordic tales from mythology.
